Bat – Wings of Chains (2016)

Author: GTO
Artist: Bat
Album: Wings of Chains
Label: Hells Headbangers

Bat comes straight out of hell with their debut Wings of Chains on Hells Headbangers. Clearly, their existence in the realms of demos and EPs weren’t enough and now a full length has to be released to quell the masses of their need for fiery, aggressive, and spitfire style of metal that can be cranked out over the course of thirty minutes. Author: GTO

Artist: Barbarian

Album: Cult of the Empty Grave

Label: Hells Headbangers

Italian band Barbarian is back on the scene with their third album, Cult of the Empty Grave. The album mixes elements from a multitude of styles across the spectrum of ’80s classic metal, including some early first wave black metal and some awesome speed metal. The result is a surprisingly fresh take on a genre despite being heavily characterized by its nostalgic influences. Continue reading

Perversor – Anticosmocrator (2015)

Author: Kevin

Artist : Perversor

Album: Anticosmocrator

Label: Hells Headbanger Records

“Anticosmocrator” is the second full length album by the Chilean band Perversor. I was quite a fan of Cult of Destruction (their first LP), and when I had found out they had released another album, I was quite excited to hear it. Cult of Destruction was great because it was the lovechild of Blasphemy and thrash metal. I had hoped that the new album would keep this amazing style of black/death metal. I’m glad to report that it did. Continue reading

Deathhammer – Evil Power (2015)

Author: Goldensundown

Band: Deathhammer

Album: Evil Power

Label: Hells Headbangers Records

Deathhammer are one of those bands that openly worship at the altar of their forebears, in this case the raw, primitive, black tinged thrash metal of the 80’s, often drawing comparisons to Kreator’s earliest material. Their ripping thrash assault of yore caught the attention of Darkthrone’s Fenriz long before the Norwegian two piece dropped a debut album, with Deathhammer’s logo appearing on the jacket of the figure adorning Darkthrone’s 2007 release, F.O.A.D. as well as Fenriz giving them a spot on his Band of the Week feature with only 3 demos under their belts. Deathhammer as proceeded to release an EP, a pretty solid debut (with an album cover homage to Kreator’s Pleasure to Kill), as well as a few splits and their sophomore offering, Onward to the Pits and have now, in 2015, dropped their third full length offering of old school thrash with Evil Power. Gouge – Beyond Death (2015)

Reviewer: GTO

Artist: Gouge

Album: Beyond Death

Label: Hells Headbangers

I’ll admit I was skeptical when I heard the promo track to Beyond Death. It sounded like I was just hearing Repulsion’s Horrified rehashed. Don’t get me wrong, Horrified is a masterpiece, but that gives me all the reason to suspect a mere imitation. It seemed easy to pass over this when judging by the sonic cover I was presented with. If given a chance, however, Beyond Death will invite you to look past its seemingly simplistic tribute to the early death metal bands. Continue reading

Perdition Temple is an American Black/Death metal band hailing from Florida.
