Taking on the task of reviewing new releases invariably involves listening to a lot of stuff that you would never otherwise choose to listen to, and a lot of the stuff you take on gets listened to only for the review and never gets picked up again. I can safely say that in the case of the brand new demo from Satan’s Blade, the only reason I’ll quit listening to it is when they release new material with a vocalist. Because as of the writing of this review, they are only an instrumental band and opted to release the demo without a vocalist. And boy am I glad they did release it, because Satan’s Blade – in my opinion – are one seriously promising act, and if they can get a vocalist as good as the rest of their band, they could prove to be quite a compelling force in the heavy metal world.
